Our most important goal is to ensure that delivery of care and services are delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way. The New White Memorial will result in a new state-of-the-art hospital in Boyle Heights. The benefits to our community will include:
- New state-of-the-art hospital in Boyle Heights
- Will meet all strict new earthquake standards
- Services grouped together, which will mean less walking and less confusion for patients (for example, patient registration, lab, x-ray and outpatient surgery will all be on one floor)
- New separate Women's Services entrance
- New Emergency entrance with adjacent parking
- 369 licensed beds
- One block from proposed MTA station
at First & Boyle Streets
Improvements are also being made to the hospital's infrastructure, such as the Central Utility Buildings, parking lots, underground utilities such as telephone lines, and traffic circulation.
