White Memorial Medical Center Receives CHART Certificate of Excellence
n January White Memorial Medical Center once again received a Certificate of Excellence from the California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Taskforce (CHART), a statewide consumer report card.
This achievement is significant, as more and more consumers shop for healthcare online, and use consumer report cards to compare and choose hospitals and physicians.
White Memorial achieved "Superior" or "Above Average" results across the majority of outcomes and process measures publicly reported by CHART. The hospital did not receive "below average" or "poor" scores on any CHART measure.
These measures include ICU mortality, heart failure, coronary artery bypass graft (open-heart surgery) mortality, breastfeeding, the overall patient experience, patient safety (we measure hospital-acquired pressure ulcers and the surgical care improvement process), heart attack and pneumonia.
