Over the past decades, there has been growing emphasis on providing care on an outpatient basis whenever possible. Not only does outpatient care simplify the process of treatment for the patients, it enables the hospital to use valuable resources more prudently. Patients return to their families quickly, and the hospital benefits because it is generally less costly to provide care in an outpatient setting. The new surgical and imaging centers will serve this growing need. balance of $1.8 million as our fund raising target.

The first phase of the project to be completed is Los Angeles Advanced Imaging. The center features a relaxed, spa-inspired environment and some of the most powerful imaging technology available in the region -- a 64-slice PET CT and a 3T MRI. This technology enables physicians to detect disease earlier, offer painless alternatives to invasive procedures, and get answers faster, with exams as brief as 30 minutes, benefiting both caregivers and patients.
